Brief

A low maintenance garden and somewhere to enjoy a BBQ with family and friends would be great.

Solution

Luxury, low maintenance garden designed over 3 levels bringing modern and traditional styles together. Space to relax and unwind with a morning coffee on the large patio outside the French doors. In the afternoon you can stroll down the smooth curved path to an area where you can spend time with the family and not to forget the bespoke BBQ area under the timber pergola.

project description

1.

We cleared the existing garden with the use of a 1.6ton mini digger and a 1 ton high lift dumper, 2 machine operators and 1 banks man. 32ton of spoil was removed from the area using a clam lorry and 30 ton of type 1 mot was used as the initial layer of sub base which was laid on weed suppressing membrane and compacted using a vibrating plate. The next step was to erect our very own bespoke contemporary horizontal fencing to define the perimeter. liaise with CS Electrical for their first fix installation of the armoured cable.

2.

The concrete foundation was supplied from an external source to help with efficiency and we liaised with CS Electrical for their first fix installation of the armoured cable prior to us installing kerb and completing the sub base .

Once all kerbs and sub base we installed it was now time for the raised planter to be built as well at the timber pergola.  It was time to lay the Indian sandstone paving on a full bed of mortar and prime the paving prior to laying to ensure good adhesion.

3.

The next part was pretty complex as we had to mark out all circle detail in the patio and path areas bearing in mind the underground armour cable. We again liaised with the electricians to install path light s sufficiently. We completed the raised planter by cladding with stone face dry stack veneer walling. Prior to this we sealed the inside of the planter using a bitumen paint to prevent moisture seeping through and effecting the cladding. Our bespoke coping stones were then cut and installed.

4.

We installed our concrete haunch for securing the artificial grass. Ever green planting was carried out and we constructed a discreet gate with hidden hinges and a removable screen with no hinges to maintain the seamless look. CS Electrical arrived on site to install the fence lighting. We carried out the final wash down of the project prior to walk round with our client.
